Social Skills Groups

What Are Social Skills Groups?

Social skills groups bring together small groups of peers to practice real-world social interaction with the guidance of a speech-language pathologist. Through structured games, role-play, and cooperative activities, children build the pragmatic language and social-emotional skills that carry over into school, friendships, and family life.

Groups are organized by age and skill level, giving children a low-pressure space to practice turn-taking, reading social cues, and building genuine connections with peers who are working on similar goals.

Sessions blend structured food exposure activities with sensory play, helping children build a more positive, confident relationship with mealtime.
